Mission - The Verde Valley Humane Society exists to humanely care for unwanted, lost and abused animals; and to promote animal adoptions and welfare through its policies and presence in the community.

No Kill Policy - As a socially conscious shelter we strive to ensure the best outcome for each homeless cat and dog in our care. Our goal is to place each healthy, safe animal in a forever home. Our most difficult job is to alleviate suffering with appropriate euthanasia decisions.

We have never euthanized one animal to make space for another.

Pets For Patriots - To say THANK YOU for your service, Verde Valley Humane Society partners with the Pets for Patriots program to match hard-to-place shelter pets with veterans and military families. In addition to the physical and emotional benefits an adopted pet brings to any family, adoption can help ease the stress of a transition when a service member returns from deployment or retires.

Little Angel's Dog Rescue

Little Angel’s is a non-profit organization with the mission to reduce animal homelessness and neglect in the community, utilizing a foster-first mentality in order to provide dogs in need an opportunity for family life. To ensure dogs get the best care possible and find permanent homes, Little Angel’s relies heavily on its partnerships and donations from kind individuals in search for animal welfare reform.

Current needs

Chance - a blind 12 year old that needs monthly arthritis injections

Verona - has cancer and needs help with food costs

Yardly - 9 year old behavioral issues but loves his foster - food

10 year old Shih Tzu - blind in one eye
